Former Georgia deputy bragged he'd charge Black people with fake felonies to strip them of voting rights: FBI
    https://www.rawstory.com/cody-richard-griggers/
According to the Belleville News-Democrat, a former Georgia sheriff's deputy arrested on multiple gun charges bragged in private texts that he would charge Black people with felonies to prevent them from voting. "The ex-Wilkinson County deputy, Cody Richard Griggers, of Montrose, was fired last November after the FBI contacted the sheriff there about an investigation into illegal guns and their alleged ties to a California man said to have made violent political statements on Facebook," reported Joe Kovac, Jr. "Griggers, 28, a former Marine, pleaded guilty on Monday in federal court in Macon to one count of possession of an unregistered firearm, a crime the authorities discovered in their probe, which began last summer. He faces a maximum of 10 years in prison when he is sentenced in July."

Even With Billions In Federal Aid For Rent Relief, Some Texans Are Losing Their Homes
    https://www.keranews.org/news/2021-04-28/even-with-billions-in-federal-aid-for-rent-relief-some-texans-are-losing-their-homes
When it launched in February, the Texas Rent Relief program struggled to help tenants who'd fallen behind on rent due to the pandemic. In the first six weeks, just 250 Texans got help, out of the 72,000 people who applied. Mona Ogas fell through the cracks... Three weeks after she applied, a letter arrived notifying Ogas that her landlord had decided to evict her. At the eviction hearing, she told the judge that she should be protected by the federal eviction moratorium, but it didn’t help. The judge ruled in favor of the landlord. A few days after she moved out, Ogas got an email from the Texas Rent Relief program. It said she’d been approved for more than $6,000 in rental and utility assistance. “I called and they said, ‘Congratulations, you got approved!” she recalled. “And I said, ‘Well, lets hold the congratulations, because I’ve been evicted.’” A few days later she was told that the money had already gone out to her landlord. The money was tied to the apartment, she was told. Because she was no longer living there, she was no longer eligible for the funds.

Please Allow Rudy Giuliani's Delightful Neighbor to Gleefully Tell You About the F.B.I. Raid on His Home

My favorite part of any Law & Order episode is when detectives question a neighbor or bystander about the perp or the crime. In this four-second snippet, the New Yorker being questioned by the police does not know anything, has not seen anything, but adds unmistakable New York City ambiance to the episode.
