imagine my delight when Michaela MacPherson, the woman behind CLAYTITS confirmed to me that the stuff Rogen’s doing is highly advanced. “If you look at his vases, they have those rounded notches and bubbles and globes,” MacPherson said. “Those are so organic, and so precise. That’s really hard to achieve. His stuff is so contemporary, the colors especially. It looks like stoner pottery and I think it would sell in a ceramics market for sure.”

On Dec. 20, I published a blog, titled “At Least Now You Know Which Video Game Reviewers Are Sellout Clowns,” about games journalists who’d complied with the studio CD Projekt Red’s non-disclosure agreements limiting how they could cover Cyberpunk 2077 in exchange for early access to what has turned out to be a shamefully broken product. The blog angered a number of readers, including many in games journalism, who felt that I’d failed to account for the constraints and power dynamics of their industry, and in so doing had unfairly attacked powerless writers for systemic issues far beyond their control.

Michael Alig ripped through culture like an overly loud cackle at a party, and he went out with a whimper. The visionary party promoter and style icon was one of the best-known members of a loose-knit, attention-grabbing group of hardcore denizens of the ’80s and ’90s New York nightlife scene, known as the Club Kids. His 1996 killing of his friend and drug dealer Andre “Angel” Melendez cemented the Kids’ legacy with a horrifying coda, chronicled in James St. James’s acclaimed book Disco Bloodbath and immortalized in a documentary and narrative film, both named Party Monster. Alig served 17 years in prison for killing Melendez (he pleaded guilty to manslaughter), and was released to much fanfare in 2014. He died on Christmas this year in his Washington Heights apartment of a heroin overdose, according to his mother. He was 54 years old.

A Tesla owner in Texas has revealed how his five-year-old Model S suddenly erupted into flames last month, renewing old safety concerns about the electric sedans.
Usmaan Ahmad told the Washington Post he had just pulled off a thoroughfare in Frisco on November 23, when he heard a series of loud metallic bangs emanating from beneath his 2015 Tesla Model S 85D.
Ahmad, 41, said he pulled over to the side of the road to inspect the source of the din, when suddenly his car ignited into flames, with balls of fire 'shooting out like a flamethrower' from the front-passenger wheel.

The one feature that’s going to annoy the neighbors is Boombox mode. The option allows the driver to change their horn sound on recently built Telsas that are outfitted with external speakers, like our long-term 2019 Model 3. These range from the usual beep to one of many sounds, including: fart, goat, applause, and "La Cucaracha." The mode also allows for custom sounds to be uploaded from a USB drive. It will be available for all Tesla models with the external "pedestrian [warning] speaker," Musk said via Twitter, "otherwise no external sound generator except actual horn." However, before you have visions of trying to fart in the general direction of passers by, know that this feature only works while the vehicle is parked.
