He says in this Tweet that this “is the only realistic way to address advanced AI bot swarms taking over.” Musk also confirms that verified accounts will only be able to vote in polls for the “same reason.” While Musk did announce the change on Twitter, users can take his news with a grain of salt, seeing that it is not often that his statements turn into enforced policies of features. For instance, back in February, he promised that the company will begin sharing its ad revenues with Blue subscribers, however, nothing has come out of it just yet. He also made a similar promise to open-source the company’s algorithm by March 5, but has now said it has pushed back to March 31.
